Today, I want to share the story of Scott—a seasoned composer and performer from Australia—who developed a unique approach to musical composition.
Scott’s method, often used in choirs and other ensembles, is built around structured repetition: musical patterns that evolve by following a precise set of rules. The results are rich, intricate arrangements—but creating them is no small task.
Creating the repetition matrix
Writing these original arrangements by hand requires complex length calculations and meticulous note copying. For larger works, the process can take hours of careful, repetitive work.

To solve this, through our a Custom Tool Program, we collaborated with Scott to build tailored made tool specifically to his compositional method: the Infinite Repeats Tool.

With dedicated controls to handle the method’s underlying mechanics, the tool makes it possible to generate these arrangements in just a few clicks—something that previously demanded hours of manual effort.
Scott’s story is a great example of what can happen when musical intuition, creativity, and taste come together with the right technology.
